The Fine Print
Here’s how the World Series Raffle works:
- 100 chances will be sold. This is a traditional 10-by-10 grid raffle.
- The X-axis represents the American League team and the Y-axis represents the National League team.
- Winning numbers are based on the total number of runs scored by each team over the entire World Series. In other words, the pool can run over 4, 5, 6 or 7 games.
- For example, if the American League team scores 26 total runs during the World Series and the National League team scores 31 total runs, the winning numbers are 6 and 1.
- Individual game results do not determine the winner of the raffle, nor does it matter which team ultimately wins the World Series. Only the cumulative run totals matter.
- Square assignments will be emailed to participants before the first pitch of Game 3. No additional squares will be sold after the first pitch of Game 3.
- Any unsold squares remain the property of the Rotary Club of Columbia/Patuxent.
This is a raffle in which the winning numbers are determined by the cumulative runs scored during the World Series. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Columbia/Patuxent and the Rotary Club of Columbia/Patuxent Charitable Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that distributes proceeds from annual fundraising activities, including this raffle, to local nonprofit organizations.
